Jalál C. Hockett is a fantasy author and active duty U.S. Army soldier with over 22 years of service. He's worn four different uniforms within one — Infantryman, Combat Engineer, Multi-Channel Transmission Systems Operator, and Army Recruiter — and he's still going.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently completing a Master of Education at Liberty University. He lives in Spring, Texas with his wife and four kids.
He writes two kinds of fantasy because he lives two kinds of life. The cozy books — The Hearthfire and The Stray — are about warmth, found family, and the quiet courage it takes to build something worth keeping. The grimdark series, The Grey Deep, is about what happens when the world doesn't cooperate. No heroes. No chosen ones. Just people deciding who they are when everything falls apart.
All titles are published through Wyndthorn Publishing LLC and are available on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited.
